Maybe you can wait until a thief steals the footage and posts it on the Internet for free.

Serves them right!

Right?:D :D :D

Sadly, the BBC is doing less & less for overseas viewers/ listeners etc. Most of their internet commentaries are for UK users only now, I hated that whenever cricket is being played but at least Sopcast shows a lot of that.

I've always hated the BBC. They may have some good coverage of a few sports (& less all the time) but the whole license fee thing used to piss me off. You should have a choice about paying to watch their channels, not be forced to pay for something you don't want!

LOL, my rant over!

still bitter after I owned you Russ? lol

get over it

I'll summon you again when I'm in need of more amusement, for now, I'm done with you

lol again

I can't imagine that any of the advertisers would care if the shows were streamed on the net. The whole point of content on tv is to sell advertising spots. The prices of the spots are determined by how many viewers are watching.

I am sure Guiness was happy to have the extra x-thousands of viewers watching the Asian Tour rather than something else. And I am sure Star Sports likes to grab viewers wherever it can get them.

So I don't see rebroadcasting of that which is normally available to be theft. Pay-per-view rebroadcasting on the other hand is stealing since they depend on the subscriptions rather than the advertising for revenue.

The BBC should simply adopt a pay model for events. They are already doing the heavy work by broadcasting so it's relatively easy to put that into a stream for the web and password protect the access.

Or someone could rebroadcast it on Sopcast or other venue. I can't imagine that the advertisers would be too upset with that.

I think I can watch it in China though. :-)

try a proxy server in the UK, thats what I do and it works fine. if you need help with it PM me.

You, perhaps, pay UK taxes???

Beggers and moochers shouldn't complain that their tastes are not indulged at someone else's expense.:D

Here is yesterday's thread on Proxy Servers to help you disguise yourself as a limey taxpayer.

And, since you don't like the BBC anymore, you can try Eurosport

http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=61017

And here is an ever expanding collection of clips for those of you who can't find the time to watch matches that can extend over a couple of days.

And shouldn't you have posted this rant in the Snooker Section instead of contaminating this temple of Real American Games?
