Brand New OB-1 Radial Pin Extended Shaft

Deal gone a bit bad

I got the shaft today in more ways than one. The shaft was clearly not new and had been shipped in a Fex Ex box with no wrapping or protection at all. There were other problems with it as well. When I politely asked the seller to refund my money, his reply was a rather unfriendly suggestion that I should just re-sell it if I didn't like it.

I said the item was new which it was..(it had been test hit of course)....anyone that sells OB-1 knows you have to sell the hit..I sold it for a friend... he's out of town....the buyer requested immediate shipping so I used my fed-ex account and sent it...The shaft was protected because I stuffed cardboard down in the box to protect the shaft from moving around...it was tight!! because I even shook the box to test it...As I suggested to the buyer he probably didn't like the taper and I suggested that he resale the item since there was nothing I could do....Bill also stated that he worked on the shaft for an hour...because of nicks in it????...there was no such nicks, if anything small, it was from the shaft being made....I've had a splinter come up into my hand off of an old OB-1 shaft that I had....but the shaft was perfect when I sent it...I don't screw people on items I sell after all I am the Bounty Hunter!

I think "brand new" and "never used" in the original description was misleading. Also the shaft was bouncing around in the box when it was delivered. I even offered to call it square with a refund of $135 for the $150 I spent. And yes, there were tiny splinters coming up off of the shaft. I guess I'll just make the best of the situation, but I wanted to let people know about it.

I don't believe the bouncing around part for a second and it wasn't splintering everywhere because I had it cleaned the night before I shipped it by our local guy...

You have to wonder who is telling the truth here. I have been a poster on the forum for quite a while and have bought and sold items here with no problems. This is the first time I have had a problem with a purchase on AZ. I would not stoop to lying about this issue. The shaft was audibly bouncing in the box when the Fed Ex man brought it up the stairs to my condo and the shaft had a pretty dirty ferrule when I first looked at it. I used Mr. Clearn Magic Eraser to clean it up. I'll leave it to those of you who have been on this forum for a while to decide which version of the facts to believe.

omg whatever....each time you say something you change the story....Is this all about a dirty ferrel? you do know the ferrel isn't white right?.....lol...When I sent it was fine...if you "messed" it up when you worked on it....then that's on you...I'd never take back something that someone supposedly "worked" on...what did you do try to take the shaft down? You can't....Royce told me that the only person that should ever touch it is him...oh and the reason why I'm new on here is because I've always used ebay...and just recently learned about azbilliards....

No, I have never changed my story. I have added to it, but never changed it. The shaft was not "brand new" and "never used", it was poorly packed, and you were unfriendly from your first PM after I asked for a refund. It is clear to me that you are not going to do anything beyond implying that I have lied about this deal. I will post nothing else about this unless you continue to imply that I have lied. Good day to you, sir.

How was I unfriendly Bill you accussed me of lying about the shaft...wouldn't you be upset if someone called you a liar? hmmmm....especially when I sold you a $225 shaft for $140 ((((((((((NEW)))))))))) - test hit!!!!!

check you PMs

Chalk=USED Bottom Line

I recently went through the same thing with sombody else on a shaft issue. The Problem with this situation is that the Post clearly states
Shaft is New and Unused. The shaft was later said to be test hit after the purchase. The original Post does not say anything about Test Hit and IMO
is not Brand New and Unused. Any shaft once chalked and Test Hit is Used and is No Longer Brand New. That is just the way it is like it or not. I am not saying that this hurt the shafts integrity in anyway or that the shaft was not in great Like new condition or that the $140 paid was not a good deal. The Bottom line is when anyone sells anything they have to disclose any and all info that may be suspect to misleading and might come back as negative on their reputation. If the Buyer knew the shaft was Test Hit prior to the sale he may have looked at the situation in a different way since he would have known the shaft was already used and he was not Buying a brand new shaft.

Thanks.....Paul

I hate to say anything but new OB 1 shafts in package are sold on AZ all the time for 175 bucks and if it was new why did you have it cleaned the night before you shipped it and why is the ferrule still dirty when it gets to Bill? --Leonard

rack'em,
This is comedy gold. You advertised it as 'brand new never used' and then blamed the buyer for noticing it wasn't?

You also exaggerate the deal the buyer got by quoting the manufacturer retail price, even though every dealer sells it for far less.

Bill has a flawless reputation here. You have none, and you're not off to a good start. Do the right thing, take care of Bill.

Everything is solved we settled the matter over the phone and he is keeping the shaft... I apologize and I know in future listings I will state that it was test hit...
