I like Shorty on the big box better than Chris. On the bar table, Bartrum would be the favorite, I think! JMHO, FWIW! :)

Chris

I like Chris most of the time he's in action. He is a calm,cool and collective gambler. I myself have never seen D'Alfonso play but I have to take Chris on this one.

Shorty is one cool and collective player himself. Very nice personality and a gentleman gambler, as is Chris.

I still like Shorty on the big box better than Chris, but it won't be the first time that I have picked 'em wrong. However, I hope I am right! I happen to like Shorty a whole bunch. The kid's got no fear, flies under the radar, and may be the last of a rare breed known as the Road Player. :)

I'm sure he won't like hearing of the colloquy discussed about him on the Internet, but, hey, it's 2007 and the American way! :D

I was ring side last Saturday when Chris played David G and Chreis played very well. This was also on a relatively new Diamond Table which is tight and very, very fast. He over and over again made hard shot after hard shot. He just shot himself out trouble over and over again.

Not knowing Tommy, I can't make a prediction, but if Chris duplicates last weeks performance, he will be tough to beat. The only ball he misse during the 11 ahead set was due to a miscue. It was an impressive performance. As we all know though, strange things can happen when playing 9-ball.

I'll add this though FWIW, Chris is a class act as were his stakehorses who flew in. The Texas crowd learned a bit on how to behave when gambling.
 
I am going to have to pick Sonic (CB). Tommy D plays really well but I would put my cash on Chris playing a big set for the cash. He is so steady for big cash and some others seem to have a little kennel cough occasionally when they bet it up. With CB you know what you are getting and if he can make balls on the break he will win the set. Since they are playing on a new Diamond, I would assume with new cloth, the wing ball may be his best friend in this set.
 
Should be a great match as I have seen both of these guys play.

Chris is a feared gambler with nerves of steel but I still have to go with Shorty on the 9 footer playing 9 ball. After watching him dispose of Strickland, Hernandez, Immonen in order and then taking Bustamante to the hill in a Joss finale, it's tough to bet against him.

Either way it should be a very entertaining match between two class guys.

don't know much of Chris but his rep, and the only time i've seen shorty play he got beat by a local player here in central FL! so i hope someone gets some footage of this...........Jeremy

The Diamond table they will be playing on is relatively new, but has had a few weeks of play, so the cloth doesn't really play like brand new cloth. BTW, Chris has gotten so many compliments on this and the other thread, I will definitely pass them along to him this afternoon.
