Does anyone have a drive box with a parallel connection and has converted it to USB? If so does it well?

Are you Kelly Cues in Louisiana? I am in Baton Rouge. I have built several machines using warp 9 ethernet smooth stepper - they also have a usb version. I prefer the ethernet as it is less susceptible to noise. They work very well and I have 3 machines in my shop running them. I also have a couple with parallel and have had no issues either. I would be happy to help you out with it

Yes hard drive crapped out . Its getting almost impossible to find a motherboard with a parallel port

I use the UC100 USB to parallel adapter with WIndows 10. It works fine with Mach3.

I have a smooth stepper on one and a different usb conversion on an other. Can’t remember the name of the other. Both work well. i can get the name of the other one if you like. I cheaper than the smooth stepper.
