Hole in my ferrule.

I have been doing my own tips for many years. Today I ran across something I have never seen before. There is a sizable hole in the end of my ferrule. My first thought is to fill it with glue and go on but I thought I would ask you guys first. Superglue gel, epoxy or just leave it?

Capped ferrules often have a glue relief hole. That one is rather large, but should be fine.

Thanks. I've seen them with a pine hole for glue relief before. Never saw one that big. I filled it in and put a tip on it.

I'd be more concerned with the end of the ferrule looking like a pack rat chewed on it..
The hole shouldn't be a problem unless a small piece of glue were to come off and rattle around after the tip were glued on.

I would fill that hole with the same glue I was gluing the tip on with while installing the tip.

The hole is pretty deep so I wonder if the maker had threaded a hook to hang it after putting the ferrule on. Filling it should be fine.
