Introducing Cohen Cues

Sorry to re-patch that hole Coco but a great hitting/playing cue will be a great hitting/playing cue to anyone who really KNOWS what a great hitting/playing cue is supposed to feel like... Take for example an average Gus cue. I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that if you gave that cue to the top 10 players in the world they would all say the cue hit's/plays great...That's not saying they would prefer to play with that cue over what they play with now, it just says the cue feels good in the hands as it strikes the cue ball... Other factors such as cue length, weight, balance point, tip hardness, ferrule material, shaft diameter and taper, butt diameter and taper, wrap material, etc... Now THOSE specifications are what makes a persons desirability to play with that cue a necessity.. That's what a great hitting/playing custom cue makers job is, to obtain enough info out of the customer so they can incorporate those personal touches that will make that player "feel" comfortable with their great playing cue...

A great hitting/playing cue is ALWAYS a great hitting/playing cue

Oh yeah... Nice Cues Eddie!

You are soooo right
That's why I love Randy Mobley, Kenneth Murrell, Jerry Rauenzahn, World Class (Shop is now closed:(), they are listen and ask what you preferred.

Eddie's cues don't just look nice.
They play solid, crisp, and hit hard as hammer,
in the most delicate way.
Slightest contact on the cue ball can be felt through the
entire handle like a tuning fork.
Really easy to gauge English,
and very little squirt with his taper and shaft stock (comparing shots vs a Z2 shaft).
The balance is leaning slightly forward on both my Cohen's, but feels neutral,
like it's floating in your hands until contact with the ball.
Truly, perfect imo.
Very nice sound when you strike the ball as well.
Like a well tuned instrument.
It's a huge compliment that someone would compare his work to Prewitt.
Both Ed's work is flawless and demands premium compensation for a reason.
Can't knock one guy just because he was born after the other.
Given time, everyone will see Cohen cues just rise in popularity and, unfortunately for us, probably rise in price as well. Lol.
The same happened with Prewitt. Or, any classic cue builder of your choice.
After a few years, we all see who is sticking around and making big moves.
Eddie Cohen is a great player and understands "why" he's building cues the way he does.
There are many top notch cue makers out there that demand thousands more than Cohen's current listed rates-
But how many of them can run a rack of 9ball...?
Just sayin.

Here are two buckeye burl cues that I sent Eddie after I had them stabilized the wood from my private stock.

Of Kaiser's two cues, the one I envy & should have picked up is Eddie's "Doom " design.
In my opinion, it's the best "The Color of Money" cue design ever attempted by any cue-maker.

However, the finest design from Eddie was the cue he made for Brian Parks that got stolen.
His cue was a gemstone cue design that anyone would be proud to have in their collection.

The cue I made Brian never got stolen. Your talking about his Prewitt cue. I made him a cue after his Prewitt got stolen. Then he traded me that cue for another one. I finished that cue just a few weeks prior to the current US Amatuer Championships, and he won with it.

I am surprised Brian hasn't used that cue in awhile competing in Mezz Tour stop - Fresno.
That cue is a masterpiece design....instant love at first sight for me. It is a dazzling design
that captures one's immediate attention......Your COM / Doom Cue is another......Both are
just exceptional designs with wonderful colors and imaginative use of rings & inlay patterns.
