Anyone have any information regarding this tournament?

I know there are top, young players in this tournament that we don't get to see often in this type of field.

Curious to see how the Filipinos fair, and are there any Americans going?

Per their last Facebook post on the 21st they stated there would be no streaming, so guess the Kazoom deal fell through. They made a post yesterday saying they were going to try to stream the finals.

Wow, so no Kozoom. Another letdown like W9B this year
Seems they will show on Kuwait TV , KTV like W9B shown on Qatar TV
If they show on KTV, we can get the stream on internet but that means they will only show 1 or 2 tables and only at limited times and commentary will be in Arabic

Remarkably, there is apparently no Wi-Fi at the hotel venue.

There is some discussion on Facebook that they may have some Facebook Live type coverage (I guess via a cell phone).

It is just mind-boggling to me that a promoter would put up that kind of money and then make it so no one can watch the event. I'm grateful that they are putting this kind of money up, but why invest the money and get the best players out to play and then not have a stream or TV broadcast? Makes no sense to me at all.

Batang Tirador has been streaming and recording some of the qualifier matches for the Filipino contingent he's travelling with. Not much, but more than nothing, and if he has a way to stream perhaps others will too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the event has already started (Oct 24 - Nov 5). So what kind of tournament are they holding, when all the top players are currently at Steinway?

They're currently playing stage 1 qualifiers. As soon as Steinway Classic is over the players are flying over there for the official start of the event.
