Mako Ignite tips and other firmer tips on wood shafts.

I've recently played a good bit with a Mako Ignite tip and it was firm and gripped well (not like a Sniper kind of well), but was decent - I like the hit etc etc. This was on a carbon shaft - the sniper also being on a carbon shaft. I'm considering putting an Ignite on a wood shaft, and wonder how much I can expect the hit and feedback to change.

I'm also wondering where this tip stacks up to the medium-hard variety of Zan tips (medium, hybrid, etc etc).
