Pool Team Names: Clever, Funny, Great, Strange...

My girlfriend and I play JacknJill in APA. Shes Asian and I'm white. Our team name is Rice Cracker. Masters team is called Different Strokes.

I saw a team name in another thread that I wished I had thought of when I was on my previous team... Liver Failure. I like that one, and it would've been perfect for my previous team. I treid to get them to use My Drinking Team Has A Pool Problem, didn't fly.

I thought we had a great name one year when we went to the VNEA with "Cold and Frightened" only to hear a great one over the P.A. system. They were called "The Fusterclucks" and I was waiting for the announcers to slip up but it just didn't happen.

My favorite name that any of my teams had was "Ranked By Length". It helped my self-esteem that I had a high handicap.

I've wanted to name our team "Accidental Defense" for a while, but can't convince more than 2 players to change it, lol.

On a side note, my brother was doing trivia a few weeks back and they had a trivia team named....

"My Grandma isn't a fighter, but you should see her box"

....and I thought I was gonna die when he told me that. I couldn't stop laughing for hours.


Also a bit OT...tomorrow is Lebron James day. Everybody leave work 12 minutes early.

In college, we had a floor hockey team and called ourselves "Nads". The best part were our fans. They would yell "Go Nads, Go Nads". I guess it was funny for a bunch of science buffs.

I played on an APA team out of a bar called "The Mucky Duck" and our team name was "The Duckin Frunks" which suited us perfectly. (Swap the D and F)

My girlfriend and I made it to Vegas for scotch doubles last year and called our team "Get a Room", however we never ended up going, so I'm not sure if they would have allowed it or not.

We have three nines and two eights on our team. This could be the name that take the eights to the next level.

We let boys play, too! (one guy, 7 girls)

No D like Self D (coined by my wife after she hooked herself on every shot, really, every shot, in one match)

was it good for you? (not actually dirty but i don't know if the APA would let us take it to nationals)

put it where? (one of our players found a wooden coin somewhere that said "put it here", so she used it as her pocket marker for a session. we qualified for cities so we changed the name. goin' to vegas in august! i guess the name worked for us)

what's in your pocket? (i think it's a take on the commercial, i dunno, i like it)

some other names i like:

2 gods and 3 hail mary's (two APA 7s and three APA 3s)

I was captain of a team called the Ryknow Koks for a while. Yes.... it was true....

Now I play on a team called Santa Mierda... (means Holy Shit!)

Good names.
