Many years a go we used to play a short rack (four red balls) in snooker.
Does anyone still do this?
thanks

Six reds is an official international game. I have heard of 3 reds, I think, but never 4.

Where'd my stroke go?

I've never seen any official snooker games beside six reds and full-rack, but I'm no expert.

I was wrong about the four red balls sin the rack. Found out today, after talking with bro-in-law, and we used three reds. 6, two reds side by side and one in the center. The object on the break is to pull of a snooker behind the 2, 3, 4 ball.
He doesn't remember where, but it had to be in some old pool hall years ago they played this. He is 84, lol, so he has played that way for a long time. Still a great shooter.

I sometimes play in a Senior's Snooker League that will go to a ten ball rack if they have too many players and not enough time to play full 15 ball racks. I've also seen three ball racks played for the same reason - that being said, I've never seen a three ball rack used during league play.
