Tournament square LED Light is finally installed

Finally received this LED light this week, and installed it last night. This LED light turns out really amazing. No more shadows at side or corners. And the brightness on the table is pretty even. Used some LUX apps on iPhone, almost all positions are same with average 320(lux pro), 1600(light meter). Different apps just came up with different numbers. Color temp is 5500k daylight white, 200w, around 18000lm. But there are some small gaps between connections, plan to use black electric tape to cover them.

That is the best lighting I’ve seen. Most pics of tables show too bright in the center, too dim on the fringe.
....the only thing I would add is a dimmer switch....something for everybody.

Right now I plugged the light into a remote control outlet to remote control turn it on/off. It is not dimmable.

How about a picture of a table with balls spread out and lit up with this light, would like to see what shadows appear if any.

I ordered a new table, but it is back ordered lol. Probably 2 more weeks. But I hope this will help. The pics are taken from my phone, color is more accurate in person.
It is 100% dark garage, all the brightness is provided by the LED table light.

I don't know a lot about lighting, but isn't a baffle necessary to cut down on glare when looking past the light? The room where I play the most has replaced flourescent tubes with LED tubes in baffleless fixtures and the glare is significant.

It has a matt white Acrylic diffuser come with the light fixture. :)

Is this the Predator light?

Trying to figure out if those rectangles on the balls would bother me? Someone will probably turn it in to an aiming system.

How well does this light contain the light perimeter around the table?

It is not predator light, but very similar. I cooperate with a LED light factory to make this. Since I haven't received my table yet, so I can't say much about if the 'rectangles on the balls' will bother or not. But once you search on the internet, you can find out more and more tournaments and pool rooms are upgrading to this kind of light. So I guess it won't bother that much. The dimension is just a little larger than playing area(cushion to cushion), so the light will cover the whole table.

Thanks, they look very similar to the Predator, but at a much better price.

My concern is light bleed into other areas of the room. I see from one of your photos that there is light projection on to the wall at the height of the hung light. Perhaps later iterations of this concept will be able to get the light focused mostly on the table?

Good luck with your venture.

What is the minimum floor to ceiling heigh requirement for the 9’ light on a 9’ table? I’m considering putting a table in my garage but only have about 79” of clearance.

My friend has ceiling with 82’’, will let you know how it works after he installed.

I did some test by lifting the light up and down, and tested out best performance height is between 75''-85'' from ground, or 45''-55'' from table cloth. So your situation will work perfectly.
