This " 2008 " post was not mine, but I found it interesting for those that missed it at the time. Not sure what the stats are now though. Honestly, people should check out the players HXT shafts and cues. Best hit for the dollar and comes standard with Kamui black soft. 12.75 haft with low deflection ferrule. I've let people on my league shoot with it against theirs (McDermotts, cutetecs, joss, and others) and they all liked it, especially when I said it was half the price. For bar tables and pool hall 3 times a week, hits great and if anything happens to the cue or shaft it's basically like "That sucks but oh well."

Price conaidered they are the best I have come across. If money is no object then Mezz and Predator are my favourite as they both play well and feel nice. I have a Mezz as main playing shaft, a predator on my friends cue that im holding for him as he aint got room for a table of his own and a couple HXT:s for testing tips and for friends to play with. I play with them myself sometimes, and it always amazes me how nice they are even after Mezz shafts

I couldn't agree More!

I just recently got a Tiger X Pro in a trade and wow, what a good hitting shaft! The feel is incredible and it's super low deflection. I've been using a Jacoby Hybrid Edge and it's a great shaft but the Tiger feels better and has less deflection. I'm actually shocked how much I like it. I've tried OB Classic too and it's right there with the Jacoby I think, but doesn't feel as nice as the Tiger.

The Tiger Pro-X is light years ahead of the other shafts, I have The New OB Pro Plus and its a big disappointment,
Other cues I Like The BD SS360!
The Mezz Hybrid Pro II
And The Jacoby Edge
All of the above are much better shafts then anything by Predator or OB!
It's the wood!
OB has admitted they have used low quality wood even.
For Breaking, I love my Mezz Pro Deep Impact Ash!
My cues are all Schon's go check out my profile pics page to see every shaft I have tried from The Fury EX II to The Predator Vantage. Tiger Pro-x, once you play with one, no other shaft comes close! I keep hoping but I'm always going back to it! I want to check out Tigers new Jump Cue any one have one?

The SS360

It is my 2nd favorite Cue! I like it better then my Mezz Hybrid Pro II, Jacoby Edge, or the many different Predators and new improved OB Plus's that have been coming out.
But Number One is still my Tiger.

The SS360 performs just as advertised, it very low squirt and it hits like a firm, crisp solid cue, yet it is cored! But you dont get those horrible unnatural sounds that you get from Pred's or the Old OB's filled with packing foam! Mezz at least uses carbon! The SS360 I had made came with an Ivory tip. and it would be ranked #1 if they could only make one 11.75mm with a modified conical Taper, mine is 12.0 with an awesome Kent Davis taper and all my shafts are 30"long made to fit Schon STL 15's! check out my pics!

These are the only shafts that I've played with extensively. I liked all the solid maple shafts. The Predator shafts were an improvement over the solid shafts except for the Joss. The OB Classic + I could not get used to and sold it. The Mezz WX700 was the one I would keep if I could only have one. Just my opinion, of course.

I never try but many good reviews i read about it. If you like a bigger diameter shaft, this ones for you.

Sunken wood custom taper. Dense, stiff hitting with very little deflection

Bob Runde shaft taper with a old GE micarta ferrule and wizard M tip. Can't be beat.
Update: Searing shaft with ivory ferrule, plays unbelievably great. My Runde Micarta shafts are now my second favorite.
