I recently went to look at an antique brunswick table that was for sale (circa 1895). The table was falling apart since it had been kept on a back lanai area, the wood was so bad you could break it with your fingers.
While I was there I found some accessories that were better taken care of; cue rack, cues, old pill bottle and a set of balls.
A friend of mine though the balls might be ivory but I am not so sure, so I wanted to ask the experts here on AZ.
They have yellowed and do have a grain that runs through them but from my understanding ivory balls weren't that common and these seem like a newer style set.
Can anyone tell me what these are made of and if they are worth keeping?
Thanks in advance,
Jim
