Kudos to you for your patience and understanding. Sounds like he's just trying to buy time to find something to send to you.

By that I mean if he had the case he would have either: (1) already given it to Sandman to send to you (since you had already made arrangements with Sandman to receive it) or (2) put it in the mail today.

If no tracking number is sent to you on Mon. confirming that it's in the mail to you, I'd file the USPS papers against him that you already have. And, I'm loath to do something like that.

Bottom line: The guy crossed the line. Knows it. And, is still stringing you along. Otherwise, he would have taken care of it immediately given all the heat!

Edit: On second thought, screw this guy. He's been on here trying to stiff people after he stiffed you. File the USPS papers first thing Mon. morning and I'll send you the money you're owed as a reward once he's convicted (on top of anything else you recover in the process). Don't want scum like this thinking it's O.K. to keep stiffing people.

He is still going to have to act like a man and give the case to SandCastles.
Is there a communication problem preventing him from saying the case will go out on Monday?
He doesn't even have to pay the shipping.

This guy has just bought himself another week. He's out there pulling another scam to cover his ass here. Sandman has to pin him down . This slimeball deserves no consideration. Sandman doesn't want to lose a customer!!!!! Heart to heart talks only work when there are two hearts involved. " Bring the case to me today or you don't play here anymore and everybody will know why." that should be Sandman's story. Yes,I'm yelling. Everybody here seems to want to forgive him if he's a good little boy.
He's not!!! Get it now! Not next week. IMHO there is no case!

Ed is not just a stick to his own room kinda guy either. The Sandman makes the rounds to other halls in the area regularly and supports tourneys, makes nice with other owners etc. I dont think it would just be sandman's room karate could be outed from.

I know quite a few pool room owners that would not even let him put his feet on the parking lot until everything was straighten out.
 
No word on it yet Tony! Maybe he will turn it over to Ed tonight. Funny thing is that he never has replied back to the pm i sent him stating that he didnt even have to worry about the shipping just take it to Ed at Sandcastle. At he least i would have responded and said thanks no problem. I will anxiously be awaiting Sandmans report tonight.

I purchased a cue on E-bay, who gave me a "second chance" buy on the cue after the original winner declined the purchase and offered to "buy up".
The pictures of the cue were dark and deceiving. It was described as a "SOUTHWEST STYLE" worth prox $500. Of course when I received it in the mail, I found a piece of crap cue that someone had TRIED to refinish it. There was clearcoat all over the linen wrap, and the overall finish of the cue was "eggshelled". I ALMOST threw it away. I had a cuemaker take a look at it, and was told that it was actually a pretty good cue. He refinished the cue and installed a nice textured leather wrap. The wood was odd looking, and described as perhaps "Palmwood" with rosewood inlays. I posted on the forum to see if I could contact the cuemaker, who I shall not name at this time. I received an answer that the guy I was looking for would probably not be answering for a while, and, there was a copy of a post showing a newspaper clipping. This individual had been arrested for fraud, due to phony sales on AZ BILLIARDS. The guy got something like 15 years for his actions.
There are a lot of great people out here with some terrific products, just trying to better themselves; whether trading up to a nicer cue, or to make a couple of bucks. There is nothing that makes me more angry than a thief. Someone who is too damn lazy to make an honest buck, and has to cheat people who are trying to make an honest deal.
Take whoever this guy is and file a formal complaint against him. If you're not going to get your money back, get it back out of his hide.
I'm sorry that people have to go through this kind of crap. Best of luck to you.

Yep, I made the OP an offer that would have netted him potentially two birds in hand (i.e., my reward for a conviction plus whatever he recovered in the process) versus one bird in the bush (i.e., the case he sent money for -- or, whatever the seller could scrape together).

From my point of view, I recently won a raffle here (nice Schon cue + case) and was willing to keep the case (which I need) and put the cue (which I don't really need) back up for a benefit raffle.

I still hope the OP finds his bird in the bush (and someone else doesn't get scammed by the seller in the process -- which was my primary concern).
 
I am prepared to chip in up to the full amount of $425 to JLRowe after the scum ball Karate Kid finishes ripping him off and we confirm that there will be no case delivered. Shawn

Just read the whole thread. I hope Dong does the right thing, but my guess is that he is one of those that have to be taught the hard way.
