wooden pin 3C cue?????? I.D. Maybe????

I'm a dabbler not a real player I confess . The real
reason I'm here is to get some info on a cue I ran
across that looks like it may be a 3C cue. It appears
to be a conversion of a Brunswick house stick but
with a wooden pin which, to some, , is a preference
among 3C players. What really puzzles me is the MOP
(real) plate on the butt. Has it been added to imitate
the famous Brunswick #265 (26 1/2) or what? You will
notice that there are no veneers on the forearm points ,which
the 265 normally would have.

Any input you might have to offer will be appreciated.

It is a snooker cue, English or more likely Chinese make (shaft is maple rather than ash), 1960's vintage. The flat on the butt is a design permitting the player to hold the cue by the tip and use the butt end to hit a ball by sliding the cue on the table when a bridge wasn't available -- originally the design was called a mace.

Very similar to yours. We think this cue is a Rambow.
