Match with John

It's called poking a little fun or even sarcasm. There were probably 10 threads created after the match with most just duplicating each other. He wasn't talking shit with that post, don't act like a tool.

TY.

I opened this hoping for the usual Lou opus, detailing the whole thing... :p

Perhaps that is forthcoming? Hopefully?

hmmmmm, probably, dub.

However, I want to warn everyone -- particularly those that thought I was doing something other here than just making a funny about all the threads on the front page -- that if I do write it up, you'd better grab both butt checks real tight before opening the thread to avoid getting your panties in a big ol' bunch, because it will be my usual, honest, funny, detailed take on what happened.

You have been warned :-)

The match is over and he is clearly trying to rub dirt in the wounds. He won $10K but then again didn't bet much of his own so maybe he isn't satisfied. I am not a JB fan, he deserved to lose but let's not sit here and say Lou was anything special. I was shocked it was so close given the match up was supposed to be so lopsided.

Tool lol, OK internet tough guy. I love the folks who name call on a forum haha.

Dude. Go back and re-read my original post.

And I'll tell you something else: if I ever do rub salt into a wound, you, and everyone else, *will know it.*

The Lou vs John match reminds me of Tyson's fight vs McNeely after he got out of prison. 19:20 is where McNeely comes out to a walk on song that struck me.

Barton, you put on a hell of a show. I've been an entertainer and you worked it like a boss. Lou, you showed beautiful composure. Your presence from start to finish was pure class. You were Tyson.

Tyson? Me?!

nibbling on JB's ear

I agree. Instead of finger-flicking John in the forehead as Lou did in days of yore, he's instead finger-flicking *us* (the readership).

In other words, the joke's on *us*, folks. And in the spirit of humored self-deprecation, I laughed! Lou's got a good sense of humor.

Those that didn't get that, well, all I can say is take a trip to Walmart to buy a sense of humor for $1.97. I don't go to wallyworld, but I imagine in today's crazed humor-challenged extremist society, they probably offer exorcism services in the back. Just ask at the customer service desk, and try not to puke the green stuff all over the customer services representative.

Thank you, Sean. Though everyone knows: they're not as funny when you have to splain dem.

John is not a weak player. John uses an aiming system. Lou doesn't have an aiming system, and Lou still won!

It is a virtual miracle than Lou made more balls than John given that Lou doesn't even know how to aim.

Ignore him, Dave. I do.

I thought it as pretty entertaining once they got past the first two games.. Congrats to Lou, I'm pretty certain that the better 1P player won this match. It was pretty evident.

I too look forward to Lou's detailed write up! Popcorn is popping.

Where did Lou say anything remotely snide toward John. I must have missed it.

He was teasing about the amount of threads started re their match.

You can be sure that if John had won, he would have posted an in depth play by play thread that could be read from outer space.

After all the woofing and barking for how long now, is it wrong for Lou not to revel in his win just a little anyway.

If it were the other way around we wouldn't be allowed to forget it until the next decade.

Regardless, it was obvious that neither player was a Pro, (much better than I anyway), but they both put on a great show. Watching the Pro streams, I can't remember when I enjoyed watching a match more than I did on Tuesday. It was actually nice to see a couple of Amateur 1 Pocket players battle back and forth with all their heart into it. Really refreshing for a change.

Even tho I was rooting for Lou, I had to sit back and say, wow, nice shot John because he did make many very tough ones. and I was probably just as disappointed as much as John was for the close ones that he missed and could have gotten.

Thank you, BH. I guess I do need to write something up.

There is a lot of misinformation out now that I'd like to correct. There may be some small amount of reveling too, and if that comes out a bit keep in mind that I have absorbed, by-and-large in silence, several months of abuse. I'm not going to go on and on about anything in particular, but I do feel I'm entitled to say a few things.

From a forum popularity standpoint I don't really care for you or John, but I think you are far and away the better player, and although the score ended up 9-6, it really wasn't that close.

I guess I don't care for you either then. But thanks.

Lou Figueroa
take that

Even though neither man is a pro, both men acted in a professional manner. Lou benefitted immediately in a monetary way, but John will benefit in the long run by the exposure this match will bring to his business.

I appreciated the free live stream, and I appreciated the very entertaining match. In my opinion, both men played well.

Thanks, guys.

Roger

Did you play a match this week?

Who's JB?

Nobody never tells us nothin'
