OB cues shut down?

They are great cues. And it's what I always recommend to youngsters or someone taking a liking and wanting to get into the game more.
Woman or youths with small hands thinner shaft.

350 pound man.. big hands fatter shaft heavier and longer cue is what I recommend
What a concept. Different sizes for different folks. Kind of like tennis, golf, baseball, hockey, or essentially any other sport where the player uses a tool to contact a another object. Yet we expect one size fits all to be the standard, kind of like Soviet era suits.

I've only been on here a few months. Every thread is like this. Anybody who gives there opinion on something gets attacked. Insulted, mocked, whatever. You sure wouldn't do so much of that if you were in person. Folks seem incapable of discussing something politely. No. Everyone in the world must conform to MY viewpoint or they are stupid, blah blah blah. I won't be missed but I'm out folks.

Why is there always assholes like you? The guy can't make a comment or give an opinion without some smart ass, self righteous, know-it-all, who has to insult or demean and belittle someone over it? Half you douchebags on this website are like that.
What are the other half of the d-bags like

Ooooops. There is where you messed up. You gave your opinion based on your personal experience. Apparently that is a huge NO NO on this website. I've been getting beat raped brutally the last few days for giving my opinion. Coincidentally my main player is a $250 black plain Joss with a 12.5 mm standard shaft and it's the best cue I've ever played with.
Personal experience is fine but don't make statements that have zero evidence of. Statements like a smaller shaft makes it easier to slow roll balls or more flexible shafts produce more spin are ludicrous. I've watched Earl, Buddy and Sigel play basically perfect pool with 13mm shafts. I could play the same way with a 11 or a 13 12.75/12.8 is my choice but its based purely on how it feels in my bridge not on any performance difference.

Relax bro. Its a forum full of pool players. Need a thick skin and be able to take/give the needle. If easily butthurt you're probably in the wrong place.

I doubt ud play the same. 13.25 vs 11mm
You could set the table up exactly the same. And I guarantee you'll play your pattern totally different between those two shafts. Just saying. You can back track all you want. There is a huge difference in the way certain shafts play. To say there is no performance difference is insane. U say I don't have proof? Where is yours?

If I have to use different input with a different shaft to get the same results....then the shaft plays different. That's my opinion. I guess u can say they are the same.. or that the pearl does fine with 13 mm. Wich is true. Earl could play great with anything ....so can u and i.

I dont have the advantage of playing on the same tables in the same enviroment all the time. With the same equipment.

The place I like to shoot and drink beer the table plays different say when they have the door open, And the kitchen going full boar (small building) vs door shut and climate controll...nothing being cooked. But I don't have any scientific data to prove it. So I guess the difference doesn't exist.

honestly i probably would .... i have played plenty with many different cues / shafts ... after a few minutes i really didnt care which i had .... and yes i would probably play the same shots the same way no matter what shaft i had. what matters is how well the tip grips the cue ball ....

Post a video. Show us all. Yes you can adjust. But just the fact that u have to adjust is proof that they do in fact play different. A banger would never know the difference due to his game and stroke being inconsistent. Someone that can play hell yes they know the difference almost immediately and they adjust to it.

every cue plays different .... why do you think people buy and sell them constantly looking for one that feels right them ... this is nothing new

you can have 20 cues of the same manufacture design wood everything and you will pick one that plays to you the best .... someone else might pick another ... and everyone will agree they all have some differences.

literally 1-2 mm on a shaft does not dictate how i play a shot ....
Shoot one shot with a 13mm put the cue down grab a cue with an 11mm shoot the same exact shot with the same stroke l and I guarantee your results will be different

as with everything sure ... but whats that tell us ... we can learn to play with anything .... shaft hype is just hype ... people bicker and b1tch about what is best when the real answer is ... there is no best. everyone plays different everyone has a different idea of feel .... everyone likes a different tip .... there is no best no right no wrong

mosconi ran >500 balls .... he didnt have a low deflection shaft .... and probably didnt really care ... just get out there and play and compete ... if you make it to the top .. great
