Brunswick Centennial Prices?

I occasionally consider replacing my 28 year old set of Centennials with a new set. Last time I looked, maybe a year ago, seems like they were around $250 USD.

I just looked again and they're now $560. Has the price increased this much due to inflation, etc.?

Has the formula or manufacturing process of the Centennials improved so that they're really worth much more recently?

Are they worth it. Only if you want them.

No. They haven't been 260 for a LONG time. They were 400 for quite a while then 500 for a few yrs. 560 is newest bump.

If I were a betting man, I’d say the latest increase is due to tariffs (Google says 15% tariffs on EU goods). Whether these are or will be struck down I don’t know.

I doubt I’ll ever need a set of Centennials but pushing $600 seems absurd…..but so does $1300 break cues and $5k custom cue designs and waiting years for your cue to get made. I hear Dynasphere Rhodium balls are more affordable than Aramith Tournament sets and are probably comparable to Aramith Super Pro sets in price. But the Dynasphere 6 ball is a awful gray color but every set can’t be as handsome as a set of Centennial pool balls, not even Raschig pool balls.

I don’t know where you saw them that cheap but you should have jumped on them lol they’ve been on the high end of heading to $400 for a longgggg time. Lol

Good enough? LOL. They're balls. Unless you are a Neanderthal, they'll be fine. Hate to break it to you, but Centennials are Aramiths. Who do you think makes them?
I know that. I just played with Centennials a lot back in the day, and they hold a special place.

They're in the box because I haven't had a reason to take them out. I opened the Aramith Tournament Pro-Cup Value Pack ball set first, and I've used that. (Actually, I started with the Cyclops that came with the table for a bit, but I ordered everything at once.)

But, I'm not getting any younger, so maybe it is time to break out the Centennials!

Tournament Pros and Centennials are basically the same balls; same phenolic resin formula.
Saluc S.A. actually owns Aramith. Manufacturing agreements likely restrict knowing exactly what the real differences are.
I’m presuming there must be some slight variations in the resin formula that can get modified and improved upon over time.

Use them. Best enjoyed when played with.

whatever set you buy you wont ever wear them out even if you live to be 150.
so get what you want and can afford so you will be happy with them. instead of everyday wishing you got the other set.

i have multiple sets and a couple cents. and all shoot the same its just the color that is a little different.

and if you can find dynasphere bronze they are close in color and play super, just like all high quality balls play, and only cost less than 150. i use them most of the time as they never seem to get dirty. and im not a polish my set all the time type of guy.
