Yes, we almost got turned away at the door saying private club. When I mentioned 3 cushion he let us in. If we wanted to play pool it may have been a no go. We showed up around 12:15 pm. I was able to play someone waiting for a friend.

So true. His son and one other top player from that room are in Taiwan or Korea for a championship event. It was cool just seeing the place, although no English was spoken there.

Here's a pic of the world champion chart hanging in the room where Kobayashi won over Sir Raymond.

Funny that this thread has this timing. My wife and are are in the tail end of our trip to Japan. We went to Kobayashi Billiard Club today, our last day. I played a couple matches with different people...poorly I might add...bought some shirts. It was very fun to see the history. Sorry, no pics

Thanks, i was fairly young then lol. Hope you're well Rich.

You have so many things to be proud of, congrats.

Thank you. I went to the rest room after that game and cried lol.

I know I'm living in the past, but during the 1993 nationals I miraculously won a preliminary match agaist Sang Lee to help propel me to the finals. I have the original score sheet from that match (below) and a set of 3c balls used during that tourney. These are my prize 3c memories and items...

Professor qball is the best source I've found. Here is the link for his tournament calendar: https://www.professorqball.com/tournament-calendarz/ Not sure about your vendor question. Best guess is get a hold of the tournament organizer.

Not sure dress code for Dieckamon, but 3c usa has a dress code of black pants, black shoes and a collared shirt when they play in the casinos. Not all adhere, but they won't be streamed most cases. Are you going to Boston for this tourney? My wife and I will be in Boston until the 6th because...

Agree, sorry I couldn't be more help.

Sorry, no luck on pics with Bob and that travel cue (Dieckman), but here's a few bonus pics that I found: Bob playing with one of his 2 HOF Schuler cues during that trip. Here's his other HOF Schuler. A selfie of us during that trip And one of my favorites; Bob invited me in the Accustats...

I don't think I have any pics of Bob with that cue, but here's a picture of a couple of "flat Bobs" looking outside his window. This was taken during my last visit in 2016 a few months before his passing. I'll check my computer tomorrow to see if I have any of Bob and the cue, this is all I...

Pedro, Mazin and many others use the Tiger "Eiffel" taper (CPro) taper that I now use for the same reason, I can't play with a strong conical taper. This taper feels very comfortable to me and I can still aim with lol. It's not as stiff of a hit, so not quite the same power as a conical taper...

Right, I knew there was a lot of pink lol. The company my wife worked for before we were married use AVP for their accessory packaging.
