? for team captains....how do you deal with egos

Apa 9 ball is such a weird game sometimes. Anyone can win on a given night and is largely dependant on the rolls. You definitely do not want 6's that should be 5's on your team. You can try a few things but the reality is most players think they are better than they are. You can keep playing...

Experiments in looking at the cueball while delivering the stroke.

This is how I have always felt. As long as you are on the correct shot line and hit the CB where you intend to. It should not matter if you have your eyes closed or are looking at the girl at the bar. But I am just a banger so what do I know. :embarrassed2:

How to focus and be blind to surroundings

    Cost of playing pool.

I think you have set realistic expectations and if that is what will make you happy you should go for it. Find an instructor! it is worth it. Work on your fundamentals and you will get there.

At around 17. I remember my dad played a fair bit when I was younger... I wish he got me into it earlier. We did not have a table at home though.

What's better playing someone way better

I think it depends on the person you are playing and how willing they are to give you tips. I am lucky that the "way better" player that I usually play against will give good advice most of the time. Playing either player it is important to try to learn a few things while you are in the chair.

Do you have an APA Masters league in your area?

I think it depends largely on the player base for your area. It took a long time to get it running for us and we are only playing to max 18 for 3 players. We don't have many "super" 7's in our area and couldn't get much interest.
