    Need advice/thoughts on room size

Hey Dave, thanks for the input. The doors I've looked into are actually 72" wide so should be even better. I'm assuming you meant "move the table 6" off the north wall", not 60" :) And yea, I'm looking at doing both, removing the closet and adding the french doors.

    Thoughts on 8 ft table

I wanted to get some input on 8 ft tables, specifically Diamond Pro-Am vs other options.

    Need advice/thoughts on room size

Well the french doors would be leading into the family room, so it's an interior french door, climate won't be an issue :) Thanks again for taking the time to help me review my plan, Adrian

    Need advice/thoughts on room size

So the north side of the house is an exterior wall, but the south side is an interior wall. What if I put in something like french doors that are 72" wide and then move the table a bit south towards the french doors? And yes, that closet is getting removed as well. What are your thoughts on the...

    Need advice/thoughts on room size

While I haven't really kept track of how many on the rail shots I run across (I'll probably start to though), I can't imagine them happening that often, especially having to shoot perpendicular to the table. That's pretty much worse case scenario. As for the closest, that renovation probably...

    Need advice/thoughts on room size

So I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get a pool table in my home. I'm not opposed to making modifications to the room, but I'm trying to hold off if I can. I started off big, looking at removing walls, but between the beam work (load bearing), floor repair (splicing in oak flooring and...

    Good cue tip shaping tool?

That's what I use as well.

    Cue joint seems off center

So I thought I'd get over it, but every once in a while it bothers me. I keep touching it :( I know I can be a PITA when it comes to small stupid shit. Anyways, someone reached out to me a while back in PM, but I hadn't noticed. All the alerts were disabled. He had me take pics, so figured I'd...

    Cue joint seems off center

It came from Joss directly through my local dealer at the pool hall. It's not one of their production cues. It was one that they list under their Available cues. Supposedly he only makes a few of each of these.

    Cue joint seems off center

It's a Joss cue. The ding was under the black ring that is under the metal joint. It was a bit under a half inch and was straight. Only way I can describe it I guess is if you took a screw driver and made an indentation. Anyways, it wasn't right near the joint. I guess I'm just trying to see if...

    Cue joint seems off center

I'm curious why you would assume it was a cheap cue? Do you think I came on the board asking about some $50 Walmart special? Anyways, some history on it...I bought it new, but when it arrived it had an imperfection (small ding), so it was shipped back and corrected. Do you think that maybe...

    Cue joint seems off center

So I have a new cue with a metal joint. When the shaft is screwed on all the way, you can feel the edge is a bit off center. It seems to roll straight and shoots fine, just wondering if that's repairable and if it's an easy thing. If you unscrew it just a bit it evens out all around fine, its...
