Here are some other pictures I found on a Japanize web sight. Definitely a GB-10, early model, before they changed the weight bolt. These pictures show it with MOP, where the cue I have is Abalone, the butt cap is different on the end also. The top cue, and it even has the right Irish linen...

Aloha, Here is a link I found interesting about Adam/Helm/Bushka company. They go on to say that the cues can still be gotten out of Japan. They also say that when the cues moved to china like the current production, they lost the double weight bolt like the original bushka cues...

Chop, That looks pretty close to this one. Here is a picture of the one I have, and the one you posted. BTW, I could not get a socket to fit it, and I'm a diesel mechanic. Had to use a pair on needle nose to get it out. And this one was not very tight. Mahalo

Well if this does turn out to be a Japabushka then it will change my opinion of those cues, this one hits real nice and is built pretty good.

The current tips look to be elk masters to me. The grain is evident when it is not in a picture. The butt cap had me thinking at first that this was an Adam cue, maybe before they started making the current Balabushka lines over seas. The SAE thread on the weight bolt keeps bringing me back...

Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware Allen Used a wood pilot for his SS jointed cues.

Just doing some looking, is it possible that this is a Richard Black cue. I know he didn't start signing cues till the late 70's sometime. I know he used a similar wood piloted joint, but I'm not sure what pin he used.

The table plays really good for the age, we moved the table and setting it up a friends house, right now we are waiting on the cloth to show up so we can finish this thing. He did not order enough cloth for the three cushion rails, but no big deal at this time.
