how do you get the bumper off?

i just bought a 1x1 economy tube cue case cause sometimes i dont feel like carrying around my 3x6 cause its huge... anyways i noticed that this case has a rubber lined interior instead of the felt that im used to can this interior scratch or mess up the finish of my cues? does anyone else have...
