Are there any resources for finding a Gold Crown other than Facebook marketplace?

Contact Brian Russell, of Billiards Revival. He is based in Newburgh, NY. I think that he has a couple of IV's. Also try Oscar, at PoolTable911. He's based in West Creek, NJ. They usually have a pretty expansive inventory. Both are reputable and conscientious installers.

    Dynasphere Challenger Ball Set

I believe it. When working in that environment every day, you can get really comfortable seeing very small variations.

I was a machinist for a number of years. You're not wrong.

    Dynasphere Challenger Ball Set

The size tolerance is +/- .003". You will not notice. So far, I believe that these are nice enough to be used anywhere. I am very impressed with them, in all aspects.

Question about stretch index on fast speed cloth?

I've never installed 988, but I install a lot of 600 Club. I just did an 8' Olhausen yesterday. 1 1/2" side stretch. 3 3/8" down the length. For a 9', I would start with 1 5/8" on the width, and 3 3/4" down the length. Adjust accordingly.

    Spots on Aramith Tournament balls

The dish soap didn't "eat his clear coat".... It removed the wax and sealant. Quite likely, the clear coat was already sun damaged, and had a subsequent wax/sealant to make it glossy again. I would bet that another wax/buff would have brought the shine right back. Don't forget that pool balls...

    Spots on Aramith Tournament balls

Where is the harm? I would rather have as much grime and gunk removed from a ball set, before running it through a polisher. Dawn is a mild detergent, and shouldn't have any ill effect on phenolic resin. Leaving excess junk on the balls will only serve to gum up the carpet in the polisher.

    Dynasphere Challenger Ball Set

What do you mean by, "unlike the Challenger set"? The tolerance is the same for both sets. Also, the Challenger set is the first set to be produced on a fully automated production line. It would be hard to beat the consistency of a fully-automated line.

    Dynasphere Challenger Ball Set

The new Dynasphere Challenger ball sets are finally available. We've been using a set on our showroom/practice table, for the past couple of weeks. In fact, it's the open set that's pictured here. I'm very impressed with this set, and how clean the cue ball stays. Despite the use that they've...

    New Olhausen tournament model..................

We have one in our shop/showroom, and play on it regularly. The bank angles are natural, and the speed feels natural. Balls do not get pinched on rebound, or spring wildly off the rails. The corner pockets are 4 1/2", with an entry angle of 141 degrees. Purchase experience will be dependent on...

Tournament organizer admits he gambled away all of the tournament prize money 😂

But don't worry... He's "faced the consequences of his actions, including criticism from the community. " What a joke. Criticism should be the absolute least of his worries. I'm not sure that he could ever "rebuild trust within the pool community."

    Diamond cushions

So long as the tables are similar vintage, the cushions are the same. Around 2010, Diamond changed the rail profile slightly, which was a change across all tables. The labels on the head rail of the tables were then changed from red to blue, signifying the change in rail profile. So, so long...
