This^ So many people have this opinion about the APA, myself included. Rarely do any of the players do anything but complain that they are handicapped too high, or, in most cases, their opponent is handicapped too low. All the while not making any attempt whatsoever to try to improve their game.

If you are trying to get good while working full-time, you have to be realistic about how good you can be. If you are able to devote enough time to it while being able to maintain a job and/or family, then there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to get to a respectable level of play. But...

The only thing I can possibly see why this would help is you are paying more attention to the delivery and follow through without realizing it. You can snap your shaft in half on the table and it won't have any effect on the cue ball after contact.
