So, I’ve added a few butterflies to my collection. The original Shelby is still there, on the left. Plus a few more thanks to Jerry -R- (moving right) - Rauenzahn double full splice 360 finished by Tascarella (Ebony on Ebony) - Rauenzahn short splice, finished by Tascarella (Gaboon Ebony info...

Any one has an all burl cue?

Here’s my collection of all burls - not too much eye candy at all. Left to right: Vigus HRB, Vigus HRB, Drexler HRB, Astle Asian Satinwood Burl, Drexler Buckeye Burl, and Schrager (okay, not Burl, but a damn nice piece of Birdseye maple that you also would want to leave alone). I think the...

    Schrager joint

Not sure if it’s helpful…I picked up a Schrager some time ago and it needed some repair work. I reached out to Paul Drexler - I understood he worked with Bert years back. As soon as I mentioned the cue, he knew it was a Micarta joint big pin. Maybe that’s the “Schrager Joint”? Great cue - big...

Will this figure hold up once finished?

Hi everyone, Looking for some insight on how to check if this figure will show up in a cue once finished. It was sold as curly Gaboon Ebony. I’m not a cuemaker, and don’t have any finish to try a swatch on. I will send this to a cuemaker, but my design would change if it’s got figuring once...

    Joint Protectors

Here’s a pic of the Jim Baxter style. He does a great job getting close to original style. On the left is an original Schön set, and the right is a set made by Jim. That cue has a radial pin, so the butt protector is long. That’s an extra benefit of Jim’s caps - almost any thread is possible...

Paul Drexler Inducted into the International Cuemakers Hall Of Fame 2020

Congrats, Paul! Have my first cue from him in the works - and it’s been fun working together on a very custom project. From his craftsmanship and aesthetics, his selection of woods, through his knowledge of construction techniques, and even just chatting about the old days with Bert Schrager...

Anybody ever purchase a cue from....

Ditto to all the above - purchased a Gina and TAD from them. Judy and Brian are great to deal with. With the Gina, they worked with Ernie to help get the shafts at a smaller diameter for me. And the TAD, gave me the choice of joint caps (some prefer white, others prefer black). Absolutely...
