    Predator 314-3 silencer pad question

I have also purchased the sound pads and completed several repairs. My question is in regards to customers who utilize the warranty and send their cues back to predator. Is Predator repairing cues or do they only offer a new part as a replacement?

    Predator 314-3 silencer pad question

Has anyone here on AZB forums had Predator complete an actual repair or are they offering a new product as a replacement? I asked Predator about becoming an approved repair person. Their reply to me was: Predator no longer has approved repair centers. On a personal side I have had several...

    Dress code in tournaments

I see quite a few posts noting the extra cost of dressing nicely to shoot in tournaments. Were the jeans, or custom ripped jeans, free? The same goes for the shirts. This is NOT a financial decision; it comes down to a lifestyle adjustment that lasts a few hours!

    Dress code in tournaments

Depending on how bad it got, I might watch something else.

How steep is the learning curve

I suggest adding Ferrule installs to go along with tips. Damaged tips often go along with a damaged ferrule, and it's just wrong to put a new tip on a cracked ferrule. Have fun with this! I started up a couple of years ago, and my wife hardly pays attention to the deliveries anymore.

    Tennon Material

The live threading is something I WILL add at some point. It's an expensive add-on for my current lathe, so I need to look at my options.

    Tennon Material

First of all, I want to thank everyone for their help! I know I've let it go on for too long, but I will always try to do follow-ups. This seems like such a simple task, but in reality, it's not. (1) I found a source for high-quality rock maple tenon material. (2) I make zeroing the shaft a...

Kielwood shafts snapping during turning, strange oscillation.. can't seem to figure it out.

I am very early into my cue service career but I have to ask this: 1/2" shank bit or 1/4"shank bit?

    Cue tip glue

Good, another Starbond user! I have changed all of my adhesives over to Starbond. If I have an issue I know who to contact. Plus it's USA made.

    CA clearcoat SS joint.

They actually make a water borne liquid masking material. You can spray or brush it on and it easily peels off. I will try to remember the name but it’s buried somewhere in my brain.

    Speed Seal 2

When I purchased my lathe it came with quantities of several CC products. Unfortunately time has not been good to a couple of them. For a replacement to the CC clear products I tested several waterborne products. I landed on General Finishes Advanced Clearcoat. Thin it down just a touch for the...

5 min Epoxy. The correct answer!

When I see epoxy breaking adhesion like that it tells me the product is probably a TPO which is a blended product. It's a very difficult plastic to get anything to stick to it. Look to the auto body repair field and see if you can purchase a small amount of "BULLDOG". It's an adhesion promoter...

Non leather (zento) break tip install question

Buy the time you purchase all of the necessary supplies it may be cheaper to find someone, local, with a lathe to do the job

    Anyone??

YouTube can be a great source of information. Just be careful with your search wording.

    Can anyone repair this??

CA glue repairs are far more popular in cue repair than I ever imagined!! Everything from small repairs to complete refinishing of a cue shaft takes patience but can look beautiful.
