My gut reaction is, "demand." A great place near me has five beautiful 9' Diamonds, and ten or eleven 7' Diamonds. $6/hr table time; $3 draft pints. On any number of occasions, I've seen all of the barboxes in use, and none of the big tables.
Sorry, Flake, but for many of us who are not ambidextrous, this is often the case. I can switch hands to weld, but not for much else. If I try an off-hand pool shot, it had better be hanging in a pocket and less than two diamonds away.
You're quite right. I have let my (somewhat intoxicated) irritation get the better of me. Instead of deleting, I will apologize & bow out of the thread.
Because the signatories are ridiculous people who did this entirely for show?
Bureaucrats love a parade they didn't march in. They need something shiny to staple to their newsletters so they can pretend they have a pulse on culture, so they rubber-stamp a plaque for a guy who was actually...
Yeah, pretty much this. I live here in a tiny city in flyover country, but even here one can play league pool 5-6 nights a week if you want. Spread out among at least four different leagues. I'm not sure there's much appetite for starting new ones.
I wondered, too, but watching the Table 4 stream on wnt.tv, I couldn't tell if it was a different shaft than his usual kielwood, or just the shit lighting.
