Got it, thanks for the clarification. Are the WPA rules considered "official"? Seems like there are a few competing rules (WPA, CSI).

I copied those rules from the wpa pdf there now, the "2025-09-15" version, which I thought was the current set of rules. Please let me know if I'm looking in the wrong spot. Would definitely be interested in seeing the current rule.

Was watching this match between Archer and Zielinski, and at 1:34:32 Zielinski commits an "unsportsmanlike foul" according to the commentator. There was some checking by ref, he got on the phone, and determined it was just an intentional foul. But commentator said it should be -18 points...

Are there any semi-regular streams of 14.1 matches? It seems like a few years ago we had various "world championships" etc on occasion, and some leagues that streamed regularly, and even some European youth type stuff streaming if I remember. Interested in watching any live straight pool...

Was randomly viewing a match from 2025 European Championship on youtube. Noticed what appears to be a scoring error early in the match. At end of rack at 17:00, they add the 5 Alex got to his 18 for 23, so far so good. Then he runs 6 more and scratches, so score should be 23 + 6 - 1 = 28 at...

We had a ladder at work where we had a table in the break room and people would challenge up the ladder when they had time. It was a good format for kind of a never-ending tournament essentially. Not sure how well it would work in a defined tournament, but was fun at work.

Any game that counts slop is also iffy to me :)
