How long ago was the last tourney?

    Is this legal

It might be ok as long as he uses the chalk to draw a line above the rail ONLY on the cloth, and then move the cube of chalk itself. I believe the rule is only if you use the CUBE of chalk as the marker. If both the chalk and cloth are blue this may not be very helpful. I think this is why they...

    How do you get down?

This is exactly what I was thinking. But many people here are saying that I will pay in the long run for these "micro adjustments" or never increase skill So since opening up this thread, I have started going through all the advice. I noticed that if I routinely make sure that my right foot...

Moving to a heavy playing cue

I keep hearing people saying "well balanced cue". What does that even mean? No removable weight bolts inside the cue? or is it where the balance point is on a 58" cue? Maybe 25.5 inches from the butt of a 58" cue?

Moving to a heavy playing cue

I really like this Idea! 2-3oz. 4 inches is a bit long though. Are there any other options or brand choices? Of course I can do the leg work, was just wondering if you knew off hand?

Moving to a heavy playing cue

I don't really want to spend $2500. So, unless there exists a weighted Revo shaft.... I guess the best option is putting weight in the butt instead of an extension?

Moving to a heavy playing cue

The 3 inch predator extension sounds like a good option. But I'm not a tall guy. I would put it on my P3 + Revo. My grip hand is already pretty far up on the leather wrap. I don't think I can grab the cue farther back, because if I do I am going to really be feeling that pro-tapper. Which...

Moving to a heavy playing cue

Right now I use a 19oz break cue and an 18oz playing cue. I am thinking of adding 2oz to my playing cue to make my playing cue a total of 20oz. I feel like that should help me develop a more stable stroke. I was wondering if anyone sees any potential problems with this change? or maybe I...

    How do you get down?

That guy I was talking about in my first post is an instructor. We both frequent the pool hall, and when he's not shooting with someone else we shoot a few racks. In-between racks he will sometimes point out something to work on. Either advice on a better/easier position play or pattern, a...

    How do you get down?

Lot of great advice here! Thanks guys/girls. I have actually seen those videos before. I decided to do a little practice session using Neil's right leg and cue line method. What I noticed is that I don't really need to do that. I am already getting down correctly. To avoid any confusion I am...

    How do you get down?

I am an APA 6. I try to implement the best practices when getting down to shoot a ball. Most of the time I pick a spot on the object ball, but sometimes I envision the line of the object ball to the pocket. Then I get my body lined up behind the cueball to take the shot. I step in with the...

Sold Predator Revo 12.4 Shaft | Carbon Fiber Pool Cue

Yes, I was just thinking about that. I'm not sure what I can do to remedy my status. I have been playing for a long time, and joined APA in 2004. Is there some way to verify or dox myself with a MOD?
