I played with a lucasi for years and years. I finally broke down, and bought a pechauer and thats my stick of choice now. The lucasi has been retired into the hands of my g/f, who is just learning to shoot, but I still play a rack with it from time to time.
trust me, it works. If you can get a car straight enough for gloss black paint and not see any ripples that is straight. I used this on my entire table to check for unevenness. I put a very light white guide coat of spray paint down on the entire slate. When you sand the paint will come off...
unless your using 1 standard light bulb hung low the shadows cast should be pretty much the same from table to table. The light is over the ball and cast a shadow underneath it. period
gotcha. well, 2 more days on the rig, then I can at least go try this out at a bar when I go shoot with my grandfather before heading back home. kinda excited to check it out.
I haven't had the chance to try this out yet, so maybe it will be more clear when I'm at the table, but if your aiming at the shadow on the reverse side of the ball how can you see it? Wouldn't the ball be in the way?
not really....I have alot going on all the time with work and my 7 month old, but no more then usual.
I wanted to go to the pool school, but I couldn't justify that much money to the fiancee so it was a no go. yes, she has my balls!!!!!!!...lol
