These are hydex not juma

For now too much time involved making inserts from hydex, i have brass inserts, brass blanks, and phenolic inserts. Hydex works great for ferrules for now

i can make the inserts and i do have the die holder on my lathee. I was just asking if there was a faster way to cut a longer length of rod to a smaller size, since this material is flexing when i try to do any length longer than 2.5 inches at a time Your picture says Juma on the bottom, is...

Why would they use that for joint material and not ferrule material, unless the original shaft disappeared i noticed the rings aren't indexed

Is that joint material pink or orange , Is the butt longer than the shaft, is it a 50/50 split

i always install the collar while the shaft is large. Comes out real nice like that , no extra work blending or sanding
