I installed this in a mockup . i cut it off before it was glued Impossible to remove , my easy out said no.So any rate when i tried to face it off it kept wanting to move inward, if glued it it would look good.

I'm sure we are both using the same index cutter, i may have just been going a little to fast. i don't see any reason for that cap,, since the threads are cut in a .420 bore That cap serves no purpose. I just took a challenge and wanted to be able to make an insert from anything. i have the...

I do the same. i was just curious how Huebler could have threaded those uninstalled. Seems like it would have been a lengthy process, nylon is more flexible and gets hot if machined too fast. The nylon does offer a quick economical insert option

I have to ask, what did you cut the .550 head off with? Maybe, my speed or feed were too fast it got hot and hard to get a nice clean finish cutaT At any rate, i don't know why you would need an alignment barrel. Just cut the head off and face it off. Sanding left a bunch of white sawdust embedded in cue. What do I do? What happened?

Sanding left a bunch of white sawdust embedded in cue. What do I do? What happened?

Try sealing it with clear shellac, then polish it with a brown paper bag with no print or a dollar bill It looks to be the substrate that was used to seal it, could be epoxy or shellac. Seal a small area with shellac and see if it polishes out

    Predator butt pin change

How hot do those coils get, Maybe i'm wrong but i'm thinking you need at at least 500 degrees . Which might melt all of the epoxy all the way to the collar. An expensive repair Mr Kim Bye , is right go forward not backwards. Do the shaft not the butt on this one, unless the cue maker or...
