Good idea, but it ;looks like you put a lot of time in to making that i made one out of a piece of Delrin. I made the opening slightly under 14mmm and the stem @ 1/2 inch holds the the tip snug , glue doesn't stick to it. I've been using it for years

i did it gave me too much action. I'm guessing it was a learning curve, but i like to hold the cue ball a little more, so i went back to ,my harder ferule and med leather tip.

What they don't tell you is that some wood that get stabilized moves and is not straight, so larger diameters are preferred if you choose to have something stabilized. Learn your woods They all come out heavier too, so some coring might have to be done.

Your cutter tip is not at the center of the piece, that's why it is leaving the small piece in the center. You will need to raise your cutter up. To keep it from moving away without holding the wheel, there is a thumb screw directly behind the cross slide this will lock it in place
