Your best bet might be to get a thread gauge or take it to a local repair guy or cue maker and let them measure it

I agree, would be a new learning curve, because they hit harder , so the learning curve gets bigger, trying to hold the cue ball in control. I went from wood to cf and that's an adjustment curve i don't like. What comes next after carbon fiber? Will Ai do it all for us with voice recognition...

You have no idea , I don't do pro tapers. i do cut and taper my own shafts. I will not do a pro taper i recently played with a cue that was perfect, someone talked me out of buying it . it got sold. i want to find or make a shaft that hits like the one i missed
