I have Simonis 860HR cloth which is blue on my GC table. I use blue magic chalk on my cue. It’s very strange but the chalk residue actually turns black on my table!!!! Can someone explain why blue chalk turns black?

I have a Gold Crown 2 with Simonis 860 HR felt. The felt is approx 6 years old. I had the table broken down because I moved. The felt was nicely folded and put in a storage bin.
