Can someone explain why a 30" shaft is desirable. Of course, I get the added length for tall people. I also understand how the balance point would change slightly. Thanks in advance.

I know this is an "OLD" post, but cue makers names aside, the stiffest butt I've played with is a full spliced John Davis cue. Now that's "STIFF."
