finally i'm glad this thread happened. awhile back someone posted a plain jane bem cue with a 3/8-10 pin and stitched collars. i bought it thinking it might be an old mali but it wasn't. after seeing the bluebook pictures, i am convinced what i have is a julio stambolini.

i believe the vertical mali sig. cues are the first ones. late 60 to early 70's. by mid to late 70's the sig changed. as far as model i have no clue. jayman may know better.

the original shaft is 8 piece but is not low deflection and has a wobble. is that the shaft you're referring to?
