I actually think they started making replicas and got permission from the family to use the name. I remember reading that somewhere....Obviously This is not one he made himself though.

I agree with you on both counts.....I Tivo'ed it and am watching it right now, they are in set 2 and the comentary is making me sick. The other thing is watching Mike play reminds me of watching a 6 or 7 in the APA shoot. How he was popping up during his stroke, not following through etc...

I honestly think the "name" players have a disadvantage. Just because everyone who the "name" player is, would also know his/her game and would know how to play them. What really intimidates me is when someone new comes to the pool room, you notice them right away cause they kinda dont fit in...

I have to some what agree with you. I do consider myself an amateur player but not in The Monk's sense. I do enter more than 6 tourneys a year. Does that make me a Pro?? I dont think so. The Tourneys I enter arent with $20,000 payouts or anything, or even tourneys with the opportunity to play...
