    Ultimate pool uk edition

Been watching this on YouTube for several years now. Very much enjoy the format. Recently noticed it wasn’t showing up on my home subscription feed anymore. Went to the channel and found it’s now pay to watch. Guess all good things come to an end. I hope the US edition doesn’t do the same. Was...

    Tap league rules question

Thanks as I read the rules as you so kindly supplied. I see a soft break is if fact allowed if 4 balls including the cue hit a rail and or a ball is pocketed. I was informed incorrectly by a tap league player that soft breaks were considered unsportsmanlike. I may need to read farther down to...

    Tap league rules question

9 ball soft break? 4 balls hitting a rail and being called unsportsmanlike foul? And actually making a ball ? This is a case that actually didn’t happen but would like to know if there’s something written in the rules that actually makes this a unsportsmanlike foul? Sorry it’s the union...

    Pechauer Cues

I’ve had a pechauer SP for about 25 years now ( daughter currently has it) the wood is beautiful as is the finish , ordered with 2 shafts $200 back then . Also have a 314 for it . Several people wanted to buy it . I wouldn’t sell it , it’s pretty close up but from a distance just looks like a...

Are there any good tutorial's on snooker ?

thanks Bob , I’m able to digest a lot more now, not everything but it’s a much more complex game than any other game of billiards that I’ve ever tried to learn. Oddly the commentators that are generally annoying ( 9 ball) are actually helpful in snooker. So far nearly all the matches I’ve...

Are there any good tutorial's on snooker ?

I’ve watched nearly 50 hours of snooker and understand basic scoring. But when things get a bit tight I’m at a loss. As time goes on things get weirder for me. I’ve studied the rules but sometimes things just need to transpire visually to relate to what’s going on The spectators respect and...

Best Advice Ever For Straight-In Shots?

Darrel Appleton’s video works for me, it’s helped several other people I’ve shown it to. I’d link it if I could, it would probably take me the better part of a day & I’d probably be reprimanded for violating a rule & possibly banned from all pool rooms on earth. Have a nice day ; )

Magic eraser vs black revo marks on cloth

I’ve used the blue original windex on a white cotton cloth on my tables since 85 . I’ve not had the carbon fiber shaft marks that you speak of as I don’t have any carbon shafts. The windex has cleaned the random odd stain without damaging the cloth ( Simonis 760 & 860 hr) Interesting as I’ve...

    No bias APA vs BCA

The 9 ball points system in the apa doesn’t make much sense to me. I would be rated at a higher level than I actually am. There are things I do like about the apa as a learning experience. BCA more serious, and purist pool. Every thing in life has upsides & Downsides.

    Club table vs Match table?

I’d agree with your explanation in the context of what the commentator said . I was more looking at differences between the U.S. Louisiana tournament tables and those used in the UK. I think quite a few of us in the U.S. don’t really understand the difference between the two versions.

    Club table vs Match table?

If you look at ultimate pool matches on YouTube you can clearly see the difference in tables. Actually I believe it is more about English vs. American tables . English tables are generally smaller, pocket openings are quite different. No diamonds on English tables. The profile of the rails are...

    Ultimate Pool Louisiana Open

Been watching ultimate pool in UK for a few years now and generally enjoy it. To American viewers I can see this as a bit confusing. The UK versions are on smaller tables with different angle cut pockets. Cue ball is smaller than object balls. 8 on the break has several rule variations.(...
