It does seem somewhat a penalty, however you can at least play position on the last ball for a nice bank to your pocket. Not so bad if you remember how many are coming up. Thanks again for posts on the subject. ;)

your opponent has 7 balls, and you owe 3 due to earlier fouls etc. At what point are the balls you owe spotted so you have enough balls to finish your run to 11? Seems like I would have to play position on the spot area as I pocketed the eighth ball. Would the 3 balls all spot up at once also...

Buddy Hall : That chicken shouldn't try to find a crossing when it's already got one. Grady : If I had to pick a chicken to come with a long hard crossing I don't think I could do better than the aforementioned chicken. :D
