Isn’t pool supposed to be dead?

I need to go back to the Grand. I love that place. I played an 8 ball league there a while back. Betsy's is great, but way too far South as is the Warehouse. If you haven't and can handle smoking, make it up to Skinny Bob's. They have tournaments every day outside of Wednesdays and Thursdays.

    Short Cue problems

It's not cheap, but you can get a longer joint protector to make the butt as long as normal cues: https://www.ebay.com/itm/389521451878 If you have a cue maker near you, you can probably get one made cheaper.

    Any info on this Predator/Samsara

Here's where I saw it: https://www.carousell.sg/p/predator-samsara-se-vcut-16-points-pool-cue-1113829784/ If that price is accurate for what it sold for, I'd guess yours would be $2500 or so.

    Any info on this Predator/Samsara

SE-8 makes sense. I saw a SE-16 that was basically that stick but had inverted points on the butt sleeve.

Isn’t pool supposed to be dead?

Even Skinny Bob's here is like that. They may actually have more machines than pool tables. My league teams are similar, but we are outside of the norm. It's a running joke when I have friends visit me at league that I tell them to look for the team with the most buckets. I'd also say that...

    Classic Cue Market Dying Off

I might have a new hobby now. There are a couple lesser-known auction sites I can do this on.

Isn’t pool supposed to be dead?

That's how most of the pool halls in Austin are on league nights. There's usually a waitlist after 7pm or so. There are a bunch of different leagues here, but the APA league here is large enough that they split into a North and South division.

    Classic Cue Market Dying Off

That site always cracks me up. People bid stuff way too high. There's a McDermott kit cue currently at a bid of $157. Brand new, that retails for like $180.

    What pin is this

I think that's 3/8x8 but threaded all the way. I had a Palmer cue like that not too long ago.

    Is this Meucci a TS-1?

I'd say it's worth it. If you just want a regular wood shaft, they are about $50 on eBay. You can get a Rhino CF shaft for $180 or so. If you order what you want from Meucci, they will match the joint collar for $25 if that matters to you. Of course, you could also just sell the butt if you...

    Anyone have any info?

    Better pictures would probably help.

White vault plate vs Black vault plate, does it matter?

The vault plate is what replaces a ferrule on a CF shaft. Take a look under the heading "Pin-Point Accuracy" here: https://www.predatorcues.com/usa/predator-revo-12-9-mm-shaft-for-radial-joint-white-vault-plate.html

    Pagulyan Carbon Fiber shaft?

I used the bumper and built an extension. It works well.

    Pagulyan Carbon Fiber shaft?

Budget Billiards sells an extension set for Schon: https://budgetcues.com/collections/cue-extensions/products/carbon-extension-to-fit-schon?variant=45761453621503 For the bumper, there's a hex bolt that holds the bumper on. On the 3 that I have, the bumper is very tight and difficult to...

    A quick fix for pool

I think the pool version of that is a pool hall having multiple cameras at different angles and an overhead view on their main table(s). Then, having a telestrator or the like so that a knowledgeable commentator can explain what might/has happened. They also need to make sure the headlining...
