I've got a Stryker brand cue that is a little warped that I would bring for him to use. No doubt he'd kick my butt enen then.

$800 is really wild. I'm still waiting on someone that shot with one at Derby to comment. Odd that no one has so far, at least that I've seen. Kinda seems like he would have handed a couple out to some better non-sponsored players for testimonials and such.

For me, the short answer is the more recognizable players are going to play with their sponsor's cue/shafts and that just isn't going to be wood or traditional for the most part as production makers are making traditional cues less and less. Traditional makers like Schon, Joss, and the like...

Define conventional cue. Do you mean a wood shaft?

It may very well be more expensive but I'm hoping to keep it around $1200 or so. I'm a sucker for highly figured wood so that could definitely affect price. This is a maker near Houston. Once we nail down a price and timeline, I'll say who it is.

It would be helpful to say where it was sold/stolen and about what timeframe.

Like a lot of production makers, you can probably contact Joss and have them change out woods, stains, etc. on production cues to meet what you want. Hell, McDermott will do it. I don't remember for sure, but I bet Joss would be willing to make you a 1/1 cue if you asked/paid for it.
