Show us your HOME ROOMS !!

I have lived in a 55+ on the South Jersey coast for the past 15 years and this is my Home Room. I took this picture about 9:00 am and there is always someone in here and you can always get a game.

If you could no longer physically play pool...

The short answer is no. Even though I've played for the past 65 years I don't like watching if I'm not a participant.

What an absolutely perfect "man cave", as much as I hate that phrase.

    Lathe for tips

I started working at a pool hall at 15, 65 years ago. My job was everything the boss didn't like doing you give it to the kid. He hated to re-tip the house cues. I guess I did at least 500. When in Rome...

Even though I’ve played for 65 years and am ashamed to say, I’ve never played 3 cushion. It’s a great game I just know now, nor in the past, ever run into anyone that played it. I would like to play it…looks great!

I have a McDermott Defy stuck on one of my Lucasi butts. I love it and the added bonus is that it is made in the USA.

    Hearing Aids

A very young 80 here and had hearing aids for about 3 years. Mine are all-inclusive in my ear canals. Adjust by tapping on my ear to change programs or use my phone. Rechargeable and high quality. Recommended by an audiologist. The cost was $3,000 less a 20% military discount. The only drawback...

    How to handle aging eyesight

I wore progressives for years and they worked well, but at around 70 my ophthalmologist did both eyes for cataracts. Since that time I haven't needed glasses and I seem to see the balls just fine.

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hi, I'm Jim from the South Jersey Shore. I started playing when I turned 15 and got a job at the local pool hall back in Illinois. That was 65 years ago and I still play with a great group of guys for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. I have enjoyed pool most of my life and strive for improvement.
