dumping the break cue and feel liberated!!!

I agree, I've never been a strong breaker, and i use an inexpensive but effective Break Cue. I do this because my shooting stick is a Custom, made by Cal Hedden in '73, and is only one of about 5 cues ever created by the Mad Genius that still exist. It would crush me if i ever cracked the joint...

    Bring Back Hustling Culture

And whine like a mofo if he was 'grouchy!' Im glad The Pearl is part of the American Arsenal though, i mean anything beats the limp handshakers of today, no matter how technically proficient they might be. Signed, another old guy

    Bring Back Hustling Culture

Its as simple as adderol and subtractoroll, dont smoke good hooch and sit down at your keyboard! Anyway, like the guy said "Do you play for money? Where? When?" I think that about covers it! I still have a gripe about the sterilized and uninteresting tournament culture, but bucket: noone cares...

    Bring Back Hustling Culture

"Hustler" can only be called a subculture anyway, and honestly, why go through all the trouble of the "Gin bottle filled with water, stumbling sneaky pete" routine when you can just go to your old pool hall and say something like "I am a pool shootin boy my name is Willy McCoy, but down home...

This spot shot bullshit has got to stop

Maybe, once they get that sorted, they could think of ways to improve the production problems too? Why do so many tournaments look like theyre happening at some hotel at 2 a.m? And i understand 'monetizing' the things, but do the players HAVE to wear doubleknit shirts from Nascar? And WHO are...

I never use the diamonds. How many of you do?

I use the diamonds! They help me miss all kinds of shots! Seriously, i think a lot of shooters dont realize they use them, and like the man says, varies from table to table.

    APA foul?

It would have been fun to watch the smile drop off his face and hit the floor, but then im projecting: my color blindness has led me to blast the 8 ball in for the win, only to realize the cue ball is over there laughing at me. In the light of certain pubs ive mistaken the one ball for the cue...

Jump sticks have changed the game

I have always thought that making a 'jump' shot was just terrible form, that if my opponent had done his or her math homework, they would never need to resort to such a shot? Still, to each his own, and in all fairness i should also add that ive never played for large sums of money!

Wayne Ball (Killer Cues) . Is anyone fimilar with these??

Of the six or seven cues i bought from Wayne, they varied from simple designs, maybe 350 - 450, and a more elaborate (but still beautiful, subtle, thanks Wayne) i gave 1500$ for. And that was 10 years ago! I cant say i regret it, because giving is a good thing, but i gave away different "Killer"...
