    Tip preference

I'm using a jacoby hybrid shaft on my jacoby cue with tiger sniper tips. The sniper tip is a soft tip which gives a good feel for the cue ball action. that is for nine ball or eight ball. I use a kamuai medium black tip for bank pool. I've been playing pool since 1956 when I was twelve years...

How Would You Play This Layout?

USING inside English causes a lot of shots to be missed. I would try to double the corner on the left and come back down table for shape.

I'm left eye dominant, right handed, However i picked up a cue when i was 12 years old and began playing pool left handed, now many years later still playing left handed. I can switch and shoot simple shots right handed but don't feel really comfortable with my right hand. There are a few of...

Justin Bergman vs Skyler Woodward. Who is the stronger all around player?

I've made money betting on both of them. I will stake Sky in banks, I don't think Justin has an edge playing 9 ball, specially on the bar box.

    Jacoby custom cues makes PBS

I met Dave Jacoby at DCC about 3 years ago, been playing with Jacobys ever since. Began with a low end cue to see how i liked it, and ended up with an ebony/ivory high end cue, have 2 jacobys, both have the hybrid shafts.

Are stiff shafts harder to draw the ball with?

I've played with 13 mm tips for years, but find i do draw the cue ball better with a 12.5 tip, which is the size i see most pros playing with.

    Pocket Size

MY PRO cut diamond is 4.5 inches same as a new diamond. Much tighter than that and you hang up a bunch of balls.

Why would someone NOT want an LD shaft???

I play with a Jacoby hybrid shaft playing 9 ball or 8 ball. Karen Corr plays with the same shaft. She plays very well with it. i do prefer a plain maple shaft for playing bank pool, i tend to over cut the thin cut banks.

    Tip from a bankpool player...

low will make a bank shot take a whole lot more english, John is correct in his post for sure. If you won't to throw a lot of english on a bank shot cue it low. There are some that will argue that i am wrong, but i am convinced i am right with over 50 years experience banking balls.

    Tapping into the Zone

My game has improved a lot in the last year, i practice daily, exercise 5 days a week, and imagine my self in dead stroke when i walk in to the pool room. I find myself in stroke a lot more these days.
