Right on. I just took mine (there are pics of it in my album) to the local billiards shop pro. He told me that the joint collar and butt are probably ivory. It has the name National stamped on the butt just like yours. A sweet hitting cue for the short game.

It is my understanding that National Cue had a factory in Chicago in the late 60s. Does anyone know of someplace that might have catalogs of theirs? Any leads appreciated.

I'm trying to learn something, so I hope you don't mind that I ask: what is it about the cue that makes you think it's from the import era? I didn't include a pic, but would it change your opinion if I mentioned that "National" is stamped on the butt as opposed to it having a sticker...

Hello everyone. I just picked up a National cue and am trying to find out some more info about it. I saw some of the other posts about how Dick Helmstetter set up the factory and how Bob Meucci, Craig Petersen and Ricco Cervantes all participated in the making of cues there. Does anyone know...
