Great observation... As you can see, you will be playing with more tip and a great deal more consistency every time a new tip is installed on the cue.
Getting the "same thing" every time a tip is installed on your cue is originally why we got into this business. Consistency for the player.
I will step in here..
We are not using a "liquid" to adhere the poly to the leather. Keep in mind as you wear down your tip... As the tip gets closer to the ferrule you will be encountering harder leather changing the performance of the tip.... Think about what we accomplished here. You have a...
Hi there,
The Kamui brand of tips are humidity resistant. This was the first virtue we wanted to achieve with our original tips 6+years ago.
Starting off with the Black or Brown soft is a good start to see if you like it or to go harder or softer. You might have a friend in the pool hall with a...
Hi all that are concerned,
When we finished development of the Kamui chalk we understood that there would be surface smears, so we made sure that there is a cleaner that works. https://www.seyberts.com/products/Simonis_Cloth_X_1_Pool_Table_Cloth_Cleaner-100773-92.html

I will trade you the .98 for the 1.21... I think you will like that one as it is a harder compound and does not transfer to the ball as easy. If you load up a tip with any chalk it will leave a mark. Just that the .98 will stick. The 1.21 will not stick as easy and you can chalk your tip more often.
Counterfeits have been known to fail fast.
And it is interesting how I never hear about these problems... If there is a problem with your Kamui, tell your tip installer. But still, not a word from any of my installers... very strange.
Yes,

The purpose of the chalk bag is to keep it from making a mess in your cue case. There isn't any moisture in the compound. Adding moisture to the compound will most likely mess it up.
If you are getting a mess on the cue ball and the cloth:
1. you are chalking too much
2. you should be using the...
Just remember that if you are a tip installer or a cue maker, your price isn't $15. But do you really want to risk that much money based on someone's word that they are original? We have found a lot of fakes coming out of that region.
Good luck.
A-TEX Fun Center is the one in Austin that is an authorized Kamui tip installer closest to you.
