Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

Thanks for all of the above replies. That is pretty much exactly what I thought. The only wrench in my thinking was the quote from a distributor, which (obviously, that's why I came here) I didn't take as gospel. Cheers!

Any difference in the latest Centennial balls besides packaging?

Hi. I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of new Centennials. Besides the look of the box (current: black with gold "banner", old: black with red border), is there any difference in the balls themselves? Brunswick doesn't mention any change in the recipe, so I would expect the answer is...

Oh no! Not another Brunstone question!

Thanks for the links, I thought I had read all of them, but nope.

Oh no! Not another Brunstone question!

Heh. From my relatively exhaustive post searching I believe Brunstone is synonymous with a can-o-worms. Yet here I am. I recently bought a circa 1960 Sport King, which is currently partially assembled. I've been intending on leveling it and reusing the old cloth until TheRealKingCobra comes...

Easiest worsted cloth to self install?

    Thank you.

Easiest worsted cloth to self install?

Thanks for the various replies. I didn't mention Simonis for the very reason initially stated, ease of install. That was based upon reading, frequently, that the 3030 is easier to install than Simonis. It's not at all a cost thing. That said, I'm pulling the trigger on the 3030. Cheers.

Easiest worsted cloth to self install?

Yep, self install. Not by choice, it's a geographic thing. I live about 2.5 hours away from Glen Hancock, who I've messaged, but if he isn't coming through my area relatively soon I'll do it myself. There isn't anybody closer, and the other options are "special trips", which is prohibitively...

Is this a Sport King, or something else completely?

Thanks. It certainly seems obvious, but the lack of the ball storage box... And, I think I've tracked down the age a bit. I came across information that makes me -believe- that this logo was introduced in 1960. That's something, anyway.

Is this a Sport King, or something else completely?

Hello knowledgeable people. I just picked this table up yesterday. It's still disassembled (photos are from the for sale ad), and will be for a while, but I'm pretty stoked. Slate is in perfect shape and the cushions are fab, which is good, because I'm an $800 service charge for mileage away...

AMF Grand Prix 3 piece slate or one?

Thanks garczar. It's an eight foot table, so maybe one piece. I was (semi-wisely) already feeling hesitant about age and the 5 hour drive, so I think I'll just listen to your advice and skip it. It sure is pretty though.

AMF Grand Prix 3 piece slate or one?

Hi. I have an opportunity to buy an AMF Grand Prix, at least that's what I think it is based on the photos. I've read all of the forum posts about these tables and, near as I can tell, nobody has mentioned if they are one or three piece. I've read mention of the center slate being messed up...

    New Here? - Introduce Yourself

Hey. I've been lurking for a bit, figured it was time to say hello. I've been playing (poorly) for 40 years, with a 20 year break in there somewhere. I'm really enjoying playing again, having my own table certainly helps. Did most of my playing in the 80's & 90's at the Comet Tavern in Seattle...
