Fedor Gorst and the Viking Sponsorship

There’s nothing natural about playing multiple different billiards games in rough conditions from a ping she. Natural feel = Practice X Time. This “natural” thing is a way to shift burden of responsibility away from ourselves for not putting in the same effort.

Fedor Gorst and the Viking Sponsorship

People need to get over this best cue thing. It’s a stick that hits a ball. Guy on my 8-ball team owns only cues from Temu or Amazon and wins racks all day long. You think Efren would be worse if you chaneed his cue? Doubtful

    No bias APA vs BCA

This has been a great thread for me, the poster. By and large I was just trying to avoid the APA sucks, switch to BCA categorical statement which isn’t very helpful. There have been many great pluses and minuses put forth on both sides.

    No bias APA vs BCA

Love it, thank you! My 8-ball APA night is considering converting and it’s just about my time to start playing BCA regularly. I’d love Fargo score too. Seems more meaningful in general.

    No bias APA vs BCA

Experienced APA member here having heard all the bellyaching about it and understand that both leagues have their pluses and minuses. Wondering from someone who understands that and sees it the same way, what are the advantages/disadvantages, if any disadvantages, of BCA over what is clearly...

Wanted: 8 Ball Bible by R. Givens

Someone here must have a copy that they’ve learned everything from and would be willing to sell. I’ve heard from many that this is a very good book and I’d love to get my hands on a copy. Thanks!

    APA Franchisee Complaints

And THIS is how too many juvenile pool players deal with other humans.

    APA Franchisee Complaints

Hello all, I've certainly heard that a lot of people love their local APA operators, but mine is terrible. I'm far from the only one in my local area that feels this way. I just wondered if there is any formal way to complain about him to APA. It seems like he is the supreme high being in...

    Wanted: Decent Inexpensive break cue

Good rec, thanks. This is similar to the one a teammate of mine has, but this one doubles as a jump cue.

    Wanted: Decent Inexpensive break cue

Honestly, the only references I have that I get to practice with are a $900 carbon fiber something that I love, but would never spend that much on, and a viking sneaky pete, which was outfitted with a 20oz bolt and a hard tip. I just need something with heft that has a hard tip that I can get...

    Wanted: Decent Inexpensive break cue

Hello, I'm looking for a decent break cue. Just something heavy, ideally with a hard tip, though I will have retipped, as needed, so that I am using one cue for all my breaks in practice and play. NYC area preferred.

    Break Cue queries

Hello all, I'm trying collect knowledge about break cues. I'm not in a position to spend more than about $300, but less is better. I think what I'm looking for is something heavy (my preference) with a good tip. Beyond that, I'm not sure how the shaft does or doesn't make a better break cue...

    What to buy in Vegas?

I appreciate that. I am certainly not interested in getting anything unless I think it will be of use. I love my cue, but sometimes I'll pick up a house cue, and something about the tapered-ness of it just feels better, so if I could get something I really love, it would be great, but if the...

    What to buy in Vegas?

Very helpful. Thank you. I had no concept of the importance of a whole cue as it relates to just one half, but have been sensing that the shaft is where it's at (jokes already made or thought of...). I've been trying the other guys' cues on my team, but I'll need to start asking them (and...

    What to buy in Vegas?

With all due respect the jokes and one attempt at a helpful reply are the reason I don't ask much from the players in the pool hall. There are a lot of a-holes around and they all think they know what they're talking about. I thought perhaps a considered and thoughtful answer from someone with...
