When wearing progressive lenses for pool I have had the segment height cut very low so that distance is optimized. This keeps the reading/intermediate focus from interfering. Also, getting your optical centers put higher on the lens will help. Find an optician who can understand and accommodate...

I am 74 with hearing loss. I have tried some over the counter aids but the ambient noise in louder environments is driving me crazy. Any experiences in what hearing aids are best greatly appreciated!

I agree. Both of mine are distance only. Having one distance and one for up close sounds confusing. I can see my dashboard and computer screen ok.

It has been 3 months since I had Cataract surgery. Everything is brighter and distance is 20/20. Close up is 20/30 and the I need readers for small print. It is a relearning experience but I can see the object ball very clearly. Adapting from near to far is a learning process as things settle...

An update. After discussing with my surgeon I am going with a monofocal Technis Eyehance Toric lens to get the best compromise and vision. Readers will be necessary for close up work but intermediate and distance should be very good.

My own research has led me to the Eyehance Toric II for a monofocal lens that deals with astigmatism. I would like to discuss using a monofocal in one eye and a multifocal in the other eye with my ophthalmologist.

Is there a specific brand of lens that works best? Who would you recommend in Austin, TX?

Your opponent has ball in hand and inadvertently drops the cue ball and it goes into a pocket without touching any balls. Is this a foul?

Take a leather belt and put it over the bump or high side and pull from the bottom while you rub the bump out. Rest one end of the shaft on a table. Works well and is a permanent fix when done right.

What is the best clearcoat to put on a stacked leather grip to make it feel like an unwrapped cue? Would Solarez work? Looking for that semi-grippy not slippery feel.
