Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

I wanted to know specifics about the table (age, mainly), itself. I was not concerned with whether or not I used the exactly correct terminology for *parts* of the table. And, as I saw no text/printing except what I’ve mentioned, I doubt I shall ever know for sure until such time as the...

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

I know that. I used the wrong term, but I kinda thought it was a slightly interchangable term (a type of forgivable faux pas amongst those "in the know"). The woolen stuff is moreoften called "felt" correct? Or is true "felt" really cheap stuff, even worse than the woolen stuff? The standard...

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

If pool tables are something that are simply made and nobody cares when or how, then so be it. When I get “enthused” about something, I want to know as much as I can about the specifics, when possible. I sense I may be chasing after impossibilities. And, if so, that’s a sad end to my search...

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

Sorry for the small pic (if you’re trying to zoom in for detail). This site only allows really small files. I normally send large, for detail.

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

I think because I want to take pride in something like this table. And you can take a certain amount of pride in just HAVING a quality table, but knowing the history behind it, makes it all the better. That's all.

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

It was assembled by the guys at SureShot Billiards (Phoenix, AZ area; we live in Sierra Vista, AZ (yeah, that trip rang the price up a wee bit ($700) higher), who had it for an amazing $1,199!!! Couldn't believe it! But never saw any numbers or date codes or anything anywhere. I'll look again...

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

I've tried talking to Craig Connelly and Connelly Billiards, but so far nothing conclusive. If the guy who started Connelly Billiards and the designed the pool tables can't tell me, how would it be possible for Valley Dynamo to? They wouldn't know more than the originators of the pool table...

Possible to identify the age of a pool table?

I have a used 7' Connelly Prescott w/ Queen Anne legs. It has three pieces of 1" Ardesia Biggio slate (OIS). Rectangular nameplate. Light Oak finish. Was told by the seller that it's probably from around 2000 (and may have had more than one previous owner), which would make it 19 yrs. old...

Uni-Lock Quick Release or Radial Pins?

Does a decade make a difference? Looks like I'm coming into this thread a bit late, but wondering if, in 10 years, has anything changed about the "quick-lock" (or the dozen other names/ways that are used) system for cues? Are they any better? Used more? Used less? I don't see a problem...
