I saw Moritz play a couple tournaments in the northeast 3-4 years ago; I knew then he was a future world beater. This kid will be a top 5 Fargo eventually.
I don’t really mind the shot on the 8 ball; with the slick cloth I think I prefer swinging it around 2 rails the way he attempted. I wonder if he was scared of the scratch in the side so he just played it too soft. That or it kind of looked he just drew it too much so it came into the short rail...
My game’s been a mess recently and I haven’t played 14.1 in ages, but managed a decent little 66 ball run the other day. I was really focusing on shortening my back swing in this session, which I think had gotten much too long recently.
39% break and run rate for Fedor under these conditions is impressive. He and Filler I believe are in a league of their own; that’s the next long race I would want to see.

Basically, either method can work in his view, and it sounds like he may use one or the other depending on the shot.
