    Reversed psychology or sharking?

I don't think that he let me win, because right after we were done, he paid me and split. And his original plan was to keep gambling all night. I was the one who didn't want to gamble in the first place, he literally talked me into it.Also I could tell how irritated he was, started to slam his...

    Reversed psychology or sharking?

I was offered to play a small set with this guy that I never played before. All I knew about him that he always plays 9 ball and that is his best game. As for me, I'm not much of a 9 ball player and prefer playing 8 ball and seem to do better at it. The first set he demolished me 7-2, and I...

    Question about the stroke

I only have one cue, the one that I play with - 19 oz Lucasi Hybrid with a Jacoby Hybrid shaft. Of course, I considered having an instructor watch, but at the moment I can't. That's why I asked here.

    Question about the stroke

And the reason that I think that the problem is in the stroke is that my, more proficient in pool friends, can do it with any playing cue, regardless of weight and hardness of the tip.

    Question about the stroke

I don't have any draw shot videos, but here's what I have found. Here's the video of me making an object jump shot. Using a heavy break cue I can do it very consistently( can do it at least 10 times in a row). But if I switch to a regular playing cue, it's either hit or miss, mostly the later...

    Question about the stroke

So, how come other players can do those shots using their regular playing cues and I can only do it with a heavy break cue? I don't wanna switch to a heavy break cue with a phenolic tip . There's something must be wrong with my stroke if I can't pull off some shots using a regular cue like...

    Question about the stroke

I am a relative beginner at pool, been playing for just about a few years. I noticed one thing and don't know what causes it. I usually play with a 19 oz cue and a medium tip on it. And what I noticed is that when I pick up a heavier stick with a very hard tip, especially phenolic, I can pull...

    Question about the bridge.

Thanks, Scott! When I first started playing a few years ago, I used to change my bridge all the time depending on the table layout. But when I started shooting more seriously, then I heard over and over , usually from world class players, world champions and just good players that consistency in...

Jack Hynes stories? (I know, I know)

If you are talking about Flamingo Lounge in St.Pete, Florida, then yes, Dale Nichols is the same owner. He's a very nice guy and a lot of action going on at that place still. I used to live nearby and about two years ago I played on the same APA 9 ball team with him, but then the team broke up...

    Question about the bridge.

I usually have the same length bridge during my stroke. Many times during playing I was faced with the situation where when I shoot and cannot put my bridge hand where I normally would, due to a ball/cluster of balls there. A lot of times , especially when I don't have to stretch, I just move my...
